  • Experimental analysis of the flow in a generic extraction module

    Description:
    Extraction modules enable controlled steam extraction, for example to feed a district heating network, while at the same time reducing the turbine output generated. Depending on the set operating point, however, these extraction modules can have a sensitive effect on the surrounding flow field and cause time-dependent and highly asymmetrical component loads. Within the planned project, these operating point-dependent flow fields are to be experimentally measured and analyzed within a generic extraction module. With the help of the experimental measurement results on the generic model, the numerical findings are to be verified and examined with regard to their general validity. and If you are interested in the measurement data please contact  andreas.schramm@rub.de
